CADRI MEMBERS & INVITED GUESTS ONLY

Please join us for lunch and an informative afternoon program featuring US insurance regulation expert
Brian P. Sullivan
and FSRA EVP, Auto/Insurance ProductsTim Bzowey.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER:
Brian P. Sullivan, Editor and Conference Chairman, Risk Information Inc.
Optimizing regulation of auto insurance rates – new opportunities

Brain Sullivan edits and publishes two of the US industry’s leading newsletters: Auto Insurance Report and Property Insurance Report. He’ll talk us through the newest models being introduced to regulate insurance rates in North America, and how insurers are responding.

In the context of Ontario’s June FSRA launch, Brian will examine innovative new approaches to rate filing and regulatory efficiency.

Based in California, Brian has been covering the insurance industry for more than 35 years. He is chairman of the Auto Insurance Report National Conference and Property Insurance Report National Conference – annual meetings that bring together leading industry executives, investors, brokers and reinsurers.

SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER:
Tim Bzowey, EVP Auto/Insurance Products, FSRA
FSRA transition update

Tim Bzowey joined FSRA from his most recent position as Senior Vice President, RBC Partnership at Aviva. He’ll share what he’s learned to date, what’s been done in the lead-up to the June start date, and what we can expect once FSRA goes live.

Tim will give us his take on FSRA’s auto-related priorities, principles vs. rules-based regulation, and the role of the regulator with respect to innovation. He’s looking forward to hearing some expert feedback from our members on key regulatory challenges.

Tim has held senior leadership positions in Ontario auto insurance, and brings to FSRA a business leader’s perspective on product cost drivers, rate making and approval processes.
